I am answering all your hair questions, including how to get pink hair, how long it lasts, and how to care for pink hair.
It is my newest pink hair, and I have been playing with unusual hair colors in recent months.
I tried pink hair for the first time when I was in college. Since then, I have worked almost every color in my hair.
I’m back to pink again, and I think I will continue to play for a while.
I asked a lot of questions, so I shared some tips and answered some of your questions about my pink hair and how to get pink hair on my own.
1. Who is your hair?
My colorist is Stevie Corthine of the fabulous Stevie English Hair.
He is a color genius, and I was very excited when he won the Best Color of the Year award at the Hair Expo Awards. He has an excellent team in the Glebe salon and can take care of you if you want to dye your pink hair.
2. Can you DIY pink hair yourself?
Yes, you can too, and I have done it in the past. However, it doesn’t look as good as Stevie. He is used to mixing colors for me and applying it in different ways. He is an artist.
Therefore, if you want to reproduce my hair at home, you need a friend with an excellent artistic vision and a stable hand.
Now there are some great pastels to use at home. I have used Schwarzkopf Live Color before; they make it very easy to dye pastels at home.
3. How long can pink hair last?
How long can pink hair last? This will actually depend on how often you wash your hair.
Pink is a semi-permanent color and will be washed off by shampoo. It will also fade in the sun.
Therefore, the more you protect your hair, the longer the pink will last.
4. How to keep pink hair?
The method is that I try not to wash my hair. And I always like to wear a hat in the sun.
You can refresh colors with professional products at home. When I left, Steve gave me Evo Fabuloso conditioner, and he used to mix it with my skin tone so that I could brighten up my pink hair while traveling.
Ask your designer to provide color modifiers to brighten your colors between visits.
5. Do you need blonde hair to have pink hair?
Yes, you do need to have blonde hair before you can have pink hair.
It is because you need to use a lighter color underneath to reflect light through the candy-colored shadow on top.
Remember that the color on the color is always darker.
But this does not mean you need to reduce the burden on all hair.
Karima McKimmie is one of my favorite hairstyle inspirations. She has long, jet-black hair, but she tried pink and rainbow colors on the hair that ends using dip dyeing. It always looks beautiful, and I love her hair.
6. Does pink hair change the way hair curls?
Yes. But not too much, which worries me.
Changing to blonde and then pink changed my curly hair slightly, but it didn’t meet my expectations.
I am cautious when using plex and bond products such as Matrix Bond and Omegaplex to maintain my hair. These treatments help rebuild the structure of the hair, so it can still curl well.
My hair is naturally dry, so I can use a deep moisturizing mask to protect my hair. I like SheaMoisture masks.
But I cannot say that changing the hair color will not significantly affect the curls. Please discuss with your hairdresser first to get professional advice.
Nevertheless, I will tell you to do this, because it is fun to have pink hair!
7. How do I know if pink hair is right for me?
Everyone has pink hair.
It is one of the most flattering hair colors, and I love people of all ages.
You can find a shade that suits your skin tone from warm strawberry pink to cool lavender shades.
If you are a little nervous, remember that it is just hair and it will grow back – so please enjoy the fun of hair.
